Winter Artifice

A personal project exploring the elements of winter in artificial and natural forms. Originally conceived as an experiment to recreate winter in a controlled studio environment, testing the limits of fake snow, ice, and lighting in an effort not to deceive but create a stylized version of winter. This expanded to include artificial lighting in the backcountry, mimicking the look of the studio imagery to blend the made and organic environments
